Additionally, he is an Oregon Master Naturalist and Master Melittologist Apprentice. His involvement in community science includes the Pacific Northwest Bumble Bee Atlas and the Oregon Bee Atlas. Dave’s presentation will include A brief introduction to the Xerces Society Introduction to pollinators and their importance in natural systems and our food system Native bee diversity and natural history (additional areas focus on bees, mainly natives) Threats facing native bees How we can play a role in pollinator conservation, both in general and in our own landscapes and communities.
