His topic will be: How a honey bee swarm chooses its home. The bees in a swarm make their choice for their new dwelling place collectively and democratically. They stake their future on a process that includes collective fact-finding, vigorous debate, and consensus building. We will look at how these bees evaluate potential nest sites, advertise their discoveries to one another, engage in open deliberation, and choose their new home.

8:00 - 8:30 pm - Presentation concludes

8:30 pm - Meeting adjourns
